With so many upsetting and challenging events happening in our world today, it's hard to stay grounded and centered. There are so many raw emotions and opinions available in the media, on the news, at home and almost every where you turn. Staying connected to who you are and not getting caught up in todays world can be a difficult task. Fear, anger, confusion and worry are dominate experiences we can have often. The question you have to ask yourself is - what brings you a sense of peace and calm? It's different for everyone. There is no right or wrong response to that question. Zoning out in front of the TV, reading a book, walking in nature, sipping a cup of tea or glass of wine. Whatever it is that allows you to go inward, reground and anchor your thoughts and emotions is something that needs tobe practiced daily as we navigate these sometimes turbulent times. Being self aware is the key. Knowing when you are feeling off, emotional, ungrounded or disconnected is the time to take your moments of mindfulness and self care.
